Located in North Phoenix, Moon Valley is a small, planned community that offers close access to the amenities of the metro area, while maintaining a quiet refuge away from the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Situated at the base of Moon Mountain, Moon Valley is bordered to the north by Bell Road, to the south by the Phoenix Mountain Preserve, to the east by Cave Creek Road, and to the west by 19th Avenue. Hiking and many othe routdoor activities are easily accessible from Moon Valley.

Moon Valley has a special Christmas tradition: holiday lights and luminaries. Every Christmas Eve, homeowners place brown paper bags weighted with sand on the sidewalk perimeters of their home. At the appointed time, they light tea light candles inside the bags, turning the neighborhood into a glowing festival of lights. Valley residents come from miles around to see the luminary display.
